Once you’ve submitted a payment, you can’t edit or cancel it directly in the platform. If you need to request a change, here’s what to do:
Contact the Community Directly
SeeMyLegacy partners with cities, parks, schools, and community organizations to power their fundraising and engagement efforts. Since it is their campaign and their funds, we cannot make changes without their approval.
Please reach out directly to the community hosting the campaign if you need to update or cancel your payment.
- You may find their contact information on the community’s SeeMyLegacy profile or within the Campaign page.
If No Contact Information is Listed
If no contact details are listed, email us at support@seemylegacy.com. Our team will connect you with the right person.
- Reach out as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your payment. This gives the community time to review your request and determine next steps.
Payment FAQs
Can I Receive a Refund?
SeeMyLegacy partners with your community, and every community sets its own policies for payments and refunds. Since it is their campaign and their funds, we cannot make changes or issue a refund without their approval. Please reach out directly to the community for the campaign you supported, and if we receive confirmation and permission from them to issue a refund, we will work with them to process it.
Can I File a Dispute to Reclaim Funds from Charges I Don’t Recognize?
Please contact us before filing a dispute with your bank. We can quickly locate your transaction and provide details about the campaign or community you donated to. Bank disputes can take several months to resolve, but reaching out to us first is the fastest way to get clarity, confirm the organization you supported, or move forward with a refund if it is approved by the community. You can reach us at support@seemylegacy.com.
I have a charge to SeeMyLegacy. What is SeeMyLegacy?
SeeMyLegacy partners with cities, parks, schools, and community organizations to power their fundraising, memorial, and sponsorship programs. If you see a charge from SEEMYLEGACY on your bank, credit card, or PayPal statement, it means you donated to or sponsored a campaign hosted by one of these communities through our platform. While SeeMyLegacy appears as the merchant because we process the payment, the funds go directly to the community or organization running the campaign.
How Will Charges Appear on My Bank Statement?
Charges will appear as SEEMYLEGACY, as shown below, on your statements if you purchase online. SeeMyLegacy's name appears on the receipt because we're the payment platform and merchant, but the funds go to the organization.
